Quilted Jacket Sunday 8th and 22nd February and 8th March 2026 10am - 4pm

It’s the height of fashion to own a quilted jacket!

This is a 3 day course , the weeks being spread apart to give you time to complete the necessary sewing at home . There are two options for the fabric of this jacket:

1. You can use pieces of fabric joined together to make a patchwork fabric prior to quilting OR
2. you can use one piece fabric straight off the bolt & then quilt it
   For either you need a total of 2.5. metres at 42” wide

You will also need 2.5m of lining (not acetate lining) and wadding. Please use an 80/20 wadding NOT polyester.

On the first date we shall either start piecing the fabric (patchwork) or for those using one fabric we shall be able to start quilting that day .

Please also bring:

Sewing machine
Walking foot
Sewing kit including small sharp scissors , dressmaking scissors if you have any , pins.

The tutor is at Spinning Weal every Friday 2-4 for advice and help. Please come along.
