Lucet Cordmaker

In mediaeval times, objects of everyday use were hung from the waist by cords. Cords were used for drawing up bags and purses. Garments were laced up with cords, or "chains" as they were termed. All these cords had to be hand-made, usualy on a simple, but very essential implement known as a lucet.
